How much content can one artist produce in a month?

If you fully outsource all the graphics for your game, we do not recommend including only one artist in the team. Typically, if the game has a significant graphical component, you should plan for 3 artists per 1 developer. If the graphical component is small, then 1 artist per 1 developer. For your reference, a detailed full-body character in 3 poses with rendering takes about 2 weeks of work for 1 artist. If coloring and part of the rendering are delegated to AI, the timeline can be reduced to 1.5 weeks.

How is the cost of outsourcing game graphics determined? What are the collaboration models?

Time & Material (the best option) — this involves payment based on hours worked. In our case, this format is closest to a dedicated team model, as artists are assigned to the client’s project and do not change during the process. They will become familiar with your style, narrative, and players, and the quality and speed of their work will improve each month. This approach is highly flexible in terms of cost: with a set hourly rate, you don’t need to negotiate or sign additional documents to add, remove, or revise anything in the project.

Fixed Price — this involves working under a fixed-price model, stage by stage. Instead of working on the project as it evolves, we define the scope of work for each stage of art production. You pay for the results specified in each stage, and we work within the established timelines for those stages. In this case, if you want to change or add something, we will discuss the change order and sign an additional agreement for each change.
